It’s been a tale of two rounds for PGA Tour star Rickie Fowler at the Charles Schwab Challenge. After a slow start with a 70 on Thursday, Fowler charged into contention on Friday with a sparkling six-under 64.
The strong second round put Fowler at six under and tied for seventh heading into Saturday’s third round. He’s five shots off the lead.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, on the other hand, struggled to a one-over 71 on Day 2, just narrowly making the cut, as did Jordan Spieth.
Fowler will tee off for Round 3 at 12:33 p.m. ET alongside Doug Ghim and Brice Garnett.
