The conditions may have been treacherous on Saturday at Pebble Beach, but the stars of the game rose to the occasion.
Major champions Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry paid no mind to the rain and wind and each fired matching 65s to move to 15 under. That’s one shot short of 54-hole leader Sepp Straka.
Tom Kim and Justin Rose are knotted at 14 under. Meanwhile, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who like McIlroy is making his first PGA Tour start of the year this week, is T10 at 10 under. All of that sets up what should be a thrilling finale on Sunday.
