2024 Olympic Golf: Women’s edition

The first three Paris Olympic golf medals have been awarded to the men, with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler clinching the gold for the U.S. Now it’s time for the Women’s Olympic Golf event, and another American World No. 1 heads in as the betting favorite: Nelly Korda.

Not only has Korda had a historically dominant season on the LPGA Tour in 2024, but she’s also the defending gold medalist, having triumphed at the Tokyo Games three years ago.

But she’ll have plenty of competition this week at Le Golf National, including from Lydia Ko, who has a silver and bronze medal to her name and now hopes to complete the set in France.

The women’s tournament features four rounds of traditional stroke play running from Aug. 7-10, with the winner earning the gold medal.
