It’s been an absolutely wild week in Scottsdale, but for the 73 pros who made the weekend — er, cut, everyone played on the weekend — it will end up being worth it.

Billed as the PGA Tour’s biggest party, it’s pretty clear things at the WM Phoenix Open got out of hand Saturday, when the gates at TPC Scottsdale were closed and alcohol sales suspended amid reported overcrowding at the course.

And players weren’t immune to the chaos, with several testy interactions between pros and fans already making the rounds on social media.

As it relates to this post, one interaction involving Billy Horschel seemed relevant.

In the video above, you can see Nicolo Galletti addressing the ball to hit a shot, and a fan shouts right in his backswing.

“Get him next year,” the fan shouts.

Horschel then walks immediately by and chews out the fan for his loss of decorum.

“Buddy, when he’s over a shot, shut the hell up,” Horschell yells. “He’s trying to hit a damn golf shot here. It’s our f-ing job!”

That job means one mistake can cost a whole lot of money too, especially when there’s a $8.8 million purse, like this week.
