This week golf fans will be treated to the sixth Signature Event of the PGA Tour season at the Wells Fargo Championship. Beginning Thursday, the biggest stars on Tour will be competing for their share of the $20 million purse.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is sitting this week out, so World No. 2 Rory McIlroy headlines the field. McIlroy is fresh off a team win with Shane Lowry at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Thursday’s opening round also marks exactly one week before the start of the second major of the year, the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla.
