The PGA Tour is back in action this week at the 2024 Procore Championship, the first of the FedEx Fall series of events, and we’re picking a Tour veteran who recently showed signs of resurgence as our long shot. Here’s our long-shot pick, the Procore Championship odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.
Procore Championship odds: Long-shot bet
For this week’s newly-renamed Procore Championship at Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif., we’re selecting Matt Kuchar as our long shot with odds-to-win of +5500.
Kuchar, 46, has had a storied career on the PGA Tour, capturing nine victories in all and putting together multiple close calls in majors.
But Kuchar’s last win came back in January of 2019, and the start of his 2024 season was a struggle. While he only captured one top-10 finish and is currently 103rd in the FedEx Fall standings, he started showing signs of a resurgence at the end of the regular season, finishing T3 at the 3M Open and T12 at the Wyndham Championship, his two most recent starts.
If you put $10 on Kuchar to win and he does it, you’ll earn $550. Consider placing additional small bets on Kuchar to finish top 10 and top 20 for insurance.
Looking for more long-shot bets for the Procore Championship? This week’s honorable mentions are Nick Taylor (+6600) and Jhonattan Vegas (+5000).
Procore Championship odds: The favorites
While a lot of stars are sitting this week out, not all of them are. Sahith Theegala and Wyndham Clark are tied as betting favorites to start the week with +1100 odds-to-win.
Canadian pro Corey Conners comes in third behind them with +1400 odds-to-win, followed by Max Homa at +1800.
