Previewing Round 2

On Thursday at TPC Sawgrass, Rory McIlroy’s attempt at a course record was ruined by two water balls. But it’s not all bad news for the World No. 2.

He was still able to sign for an impressive seven-under 65, and heading into Friday’s second round, McIlroy finds himself in a three-way tie for the lead with Xander Schauffele and 2023 U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark.
