2024 Open Championship Saturday tee times: Round 3 pairings at Royal Troon

The 2024 Open Championship continues on Saturday, July 20, with the third round at Royal Troon in Scotland. Round 3 tee times for Saturday will be determined once the second round is complete Friday night. Once they are released, they will be reproduced at the bottom of this post. Until then, we can get get a good estimation of what the third-round tee times will be.

Predicting Open Round 3 tee times

While we won’t know the official Saturday tee times for this year’s Open until the final putt drops Friday evening, we can look to the past for a solid estimation.

The first thing we know is that, barring any bad weather, players will go out in pairings based on their leaderboard position, with the leaders teeing off last. At the 2023 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, Robert MacIntyre and Rickie Fowler got the third round started at 3:55 a.m. ET. Tommy Fleetwood and Brian Harman shared the final pairing, teeing off at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Rules

We can expect third-round tee times for this year’s Open to fall into a similar window.

Golf fans can watch the third round of the Open on TV via USA and NBC. USA will open the coverage from 5-7 a.m. ET, followed by NBC’s lengthy broadcast from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. ET. Peacock will offer featured group and featured hole coverage on Friday online, in addition to a live simulcast of NBC’s Saturday coverage.
