The 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first of three FedEx Cup Playoff events, kicks off Thursday with the opening round at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tenn. After a long, eventful PGA Tour regular season, the playoffs are set to begin. All the biggest stars in the game have gathered in Memphis for the opening act at the FedEx St. Jude.
Among them is newly minted gold medalist Scottie Scheffler, and the top-raked player in the OWGR also begins the playoffs in first place in the FedEx Cup standings, with the best chance at the $25 million bonus awarded at the end of the Tour Championship.
He’ll be challenged by two-time major winner Xander Schauffele, World No. 3 Rory McIlroy and the rest of the top 70 players on Tour. On the line will be $20 million and 50 spots in next week’s BMW Championship.
