The third round of the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open kicks off Friday morning at Torrey Pines in California. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 3 on TV or online, including a complete Farmers Insurance Open Thursday TV coverage.

Previewing Round 3

Two rounds are complete at the Farmers Insurance Open, and storylines on the leaderboard are beginning to take shape. At the top is journeyman Stephan Jaegar, who’s won six times on the Korn Ferry Tour but has yet to break through at the game’s highest level. The 34-year-old holds a one-shot lead (12 under) at the halfway point and will look to reverse his fortunes this weekend.

Just behind him is the new kid on the block, Nicolai Hojgaard. The 22-year-old is fresh off his first Ryder Cup appearance and is also seeking his first win on the PGA Tour. Hojgaard has had considerable success on the DP World Tour, winning in each of the previous three seasons. This weekend at Torrey Pines, he’ll seek to add yet another impressive bullet point to his already impressive resume.

Two shots back of Jaegar’s lead are a pair of Europeans — Thomas Detry and Matthieu Pavon — who are both attempting to claim their maiden victories on this side of the pond. Tony Finau and Micahel Kim lag another shot back, while Aaron Rai, Emiliano Grillo and Joseph Bramlett are T7 at eight under.
