A whopping 12 of the 16 groups featured a winner who went 3-0-0, setting the scene for plenty of drama on Saturday.
While every match is meaningful at this point, it’s hard to pick one clear winner in terms of intrigue, so here’s two to focus on: defending champion Scottie Scheffler vs. J.T. Poston and Rory McIlroy vs. Lucas Herbert.
Scheffler and McIlroy are on opposite sides of the bracket, so the only way they’ll face each other is if they make it to the final match.
With both the Round of 16 and the quarterfinals to play on Saturday, golf fans can enjoy a full day of play.
Scheffler and Poston tee off at 9:08 a.m. ET, while McIlroy and Herbert start at 9:30 a.m. ET.
You can stream Saturday’s Round of 16 via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ or watch the action on Golf Channel and NBC. Browse the complete Round of 16 tee times for the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play below.
