The 2023 Wells Fargo Championship continues Friday morning with the second round at Quail Hollow in North Carolina. You can find full Round 2 tee times for the Wells Fargo at the bottom of this post.
Featured grouping for Round 2
One of the biggest storylines of this week is the return of Rory McIlroy. The World No. 3 had a strong yet winless start to the year, before it went haywire at the Masters, where he missed the cut. McIlroy took a much-needed break after Augusta, even if it was an expensive one.
Now he’s back in action at the Wells Fargo, hoping to make up some ground on World No. 1 Jon Rahm and No. 2 Scottie Scheffler, who aren’t in the field this week.
McIlroy got off to a strong start in the opening round early Thursday morning, making two birdies over his first nine holes to get among the early leaders. For Round 2, McIlroy will be a part of the afternoon wave.
He tees off for the second round at 12:54 p.m. ET with Matt Fitzpatrick and Jason Day. You can stream Friday’s second round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ beginning at 7 a.m. ET or watch the action on Golf Channel starting at 2 p.m. ET.
