2023 Sanderson Farms Championship tee times: Round 3 pairings for Saturday

“Well, I’m primarily vegan,” he said. “I’m plant-based, so it’s the Sanderson Farms tournament, so it’s kind of a funny one. I just want the headline to say: ‘Vegan wins chicken championship.’ I mean, it’s bad. This is bad. But I’ve got to be honest with you guys, that’s kind of a motivator for me. 

“I think it would be kind of a funny headline if I get it done.”

Indeed. We got you, even though you’re only leading at the halfway point. Griffin, after all, was masterful on Friday during the second round. He birdied 1, 5, 8, 10 and 11. He eagled 14 on a 65-footer. He birdied 15 and 17. He finished with a nine-under 63. He leads by two over four players. 

He’s halfway from winning a chicken championship.
