The subject came up Saturday, after the PNC Championship’s first round, where Team Woods shot an eight-under 64 — with Sam Woods, Tiger’s 16-year-old daughter, working as his caddie. And, when asked about her by GOLF’s Claire Rogers in the post-round press conference, the 15-time major winner said he was proud.
But Rogers also wondered: How was Tiger as a caddie? He had recently been spotted looping for Charlie at junior tournaments.
The younger Woods was ready for this one. His answer was a bit technical.
His answer was a bit of a jab.
“For Dad as a caddie,” Charlie said, “his reads are hook-bias, and I don’t hook as much as he does. So all of my putts, I miss right.
“So I have to account for that.”
