The Mexico Open’sfinal round is set to be must-see TV, as Tony Finau, who is seeking his sixth career Tour victory, holds the tournament’s pole position with a two-shot lead.
Just behind him, though, is World No. 1 Jon Rahm, who leapt into contention following a course-record 61 on Saturday.
Rahm is the defending champ, and hoping to bag his fifth victory of the year and 12th career Tour title.
Also up for grabs? A tidy $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner, and $839,300 awarded to second place.
While the purse isn’t quite at the level of recent designated events on Tour, it does reflect an increase of 5.5 percent since last year.
