2023 Memorial Tournament final round preview
Could Rory McIlroy be on the brink of a significant win this weekend in Dublin, Ohio? At the start of Sunday, it sure seems that could be the case.
McIlroy enters Sunday’s final round at the Memorial in the final pairing and a three-way tie for the lead at Jack Nicklaus’ famed tournament. A victory on Sunday would be his first since the Dubai Desert Classic this winter, and first on the PGA Tour since last summer’s victory at the Tour Championship.
But, if he’s going to pull it off, he’ll need to battle back a group of 22 contenders who enter Sunday’s final round within three shots of the lead. That group includes names like Viktor Hovland, Keegan Bradley and Jordan Spieth.
The group will be battling it out for a major check at the Memorial, which is in its first year of being part of the PGA Tour’s new “designated events” series. Below, find everything you need to know about the Memorial’s $20 million purse, including payout information and winner’s share.
