The 2023 John Deere Classic gets underway Thursday with the opening round at TPC Deere Run. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.
Previewing Round 1
Way back in 2013, Jordan Spieth earned his first PGA Tour win at the John Deere Classic, and several pros will try to follow his lead this week in Illinois. Chief among them is Denny McCarthy.
McCarthy has only missed the cut four times this season, and he’s collected a total of five top-10 finishes. Two of those top-10s came over his last three starts, including a T7 at the Travelers Championship and a playoff loss at the Memorial.
Can McCarthy put it all together and finally capture a victory this week? It all starts on Thursday, when he tees off for the opening round at 8:40 a.m. ET.
You can stream the first round of the John Deere Classic via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ beginning at 7:45 a.m. ET on Thursday, or you can watch the telecast on Golf Channel starting at 4 p.m. ET.
