The 2023 Genesis Invitational gets underway Thursday when the biggest stars on the PGA Tour, including Tiger Woods, take on Riviera CC in the opening round. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.

Previewing Genesis Round 1

On Thursday afternoon at Riviera, Tiger Woods fans will get to see the 15-time major champion compete in an official pro tournament for the first time since last July.

Woods has been recovering from a long list of injuries, most recently a stubborn case of plantar fasciitis that forced him to skip December’s Hero World Challenge. His game looked solid later that month at the PNC Championship exhibition event alongside his son Charlie, but this week is a completely different ballgame.

Woods will get his tournament started at 3:04 p.m. ET on Thursday, and he’ll play the first round with two of the pre-tournament betting favorites: World No. 2 Rory McIlroy and reigning PGA champion Justin Thomas.

You can stream the first round of the Genesis Invitational via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET on Thursday, or you can watch the telecast on Golf Channel starting at 4 p.m. ET.
