Two U.S. players are teeing it up in Napa this week to prep for the bi-annual exhibition: Justin Thomas and Max Homa, who is trying to win his third-straight Fortinet Championship.

And with all due respect to tournament co-leaders Sahith Theegala and S.H. Kim (-12), there is sure to be plenty of interest in the third-to-last pairing on Saturday, featuring Thomas and Kelly Kraft.

Thomas needed a captain’s pick to get on this year’s Ryder Cup team, but some very welcome resurgent play has him in the mix at the tournament’s halfway point, as he trails the leaders by only four shots at eight under par overall.
