The 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational gets underway Thursday morning with the opening round at Bay Hill in Orlando. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.

Previewing API Round 1

Heading into the first round of this year’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, World No. 1 Jon Rahm is garnering much of the attention, and understandably so. Rahm already has three wins this season, including in his last start at the Genesis Invitational, which moved him back to No. 1.

Rahm’s dominance makes him the pre-tournament betting favorite, but it’s also masking the challenge he faces in Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler is the defending champion this week, having triumphed by one shot at Bay Hill last year. He also successfully defended his title at the WM Phoenix Open a few weeks ago, which briefly earned him No. 1 honors. But he’ll have to top Rahm (and Rory McIlroy) this week to reach the summit again.

You can stream the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ beginning at 7 a.m. ET on Thursday, or you can watch the telecast on Golf Channel starting at 2 p.m. ET.
