Featured grouping for Round 1
This week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational is a designated event, the third of its kind in four weeks on the PGA Tour. What that means is all of the best players on Tour are in the field, and they’ll be playing for an enormous purse of $20 million.
The pre-tournament betting favorite is World No. 1 Jon Rahm. Rahm reclaimed the No. 1 ranking with a win at the Genesis Invitational, his third victory on Tour already this year. He’ll try to fend off defending champion Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, two recent No. 1s who will be gunning to get back to the top spot at Bay Hill.
Rahm will get his opening round started on Thursday at 12:28 p.m. ET with playing partners Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa. You can stream Thursday’s first round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ or watch the action on Golf Channel.
