2023 American Express tee times: Round 1 pairings for Thursday

The 2023 American Express kicks off Thursday, January 19, in La Quinta, Calif. The event is anchored by the Pete Dye Stadium Course at PGA West, but the Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West and La Quinta Country Club also share in the hosting duties. You can find full Round 1 tee times for the tournament at the bottom of this post.

This week the PGA Tour is back in the lower 48 for the first event of this year’s California swing, and World No. 4 Jon Rahm is back in action, too.

John Rahm of Spain plays his tee shot on the 10th hole during Day Three of the acciona Open de Espana presented by Madrid at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid on October 08, 2022 in Madrid, Spain.
2023 American Express odds: Rahm, Scheffler, Cantlay highlight strong field
By: Josh Berhow

Rahm, a former World No. 1, is coming off a big victory at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, which was the eighth PGA Tour victory of his career. Despite that win, Rahm didn’t move up in the Official World Golf Ranking, but another win this week would surely produce some ranking movement.

Rahm is paired with Rickie Fowler for the first three rounds, and they’ll get their tournaments started on Thursday at 1:31 p.m. ET at La Quinta C.C. You can stream Thursday’s first round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+.
