The 2023 3M Open gets underway Thursday with the opening round at TPC Twin Cities. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.
Previewing Round 1
This week in Minnesota, Tony Finau has a whole lot to play for. The six-time PGA Tour winner is currently sitting in 19th place in the U.S. Ryder Cup team standings, and only the top six players get automatic invites.
That means Finau will need an extraordinary few weeks to steal a spot, or play well enough to convince U.S. captain Zach Johnson to use Finau as one of his six captain’s picks.
Fortunately for Finau, he returns this week to the site of his third PGA Tour victory last year. Can he complete the repeat and earn his place at the Rome Ryder Cup?
It all starts on Thursday when Finau tees off for the opening round at 8:29 a.m. ET.
You can stream the first round of the 3M Open via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ beginning at 7:45 a.m. ET on Thursday, or you can watch the telecast on Golf Channel starting at 4 p.m. ET.
