Fans are not permitted at this year’s PGA Championship, but that hopefully won’t be the case at next year’s event, which begins in May 2021, just nine months from now. Here’s everything you need to know to get tickets to the 2021 PGA Championship.

2021 PGA Championship tickets: What you need to know

As the stars of men’s golf have battled with the thick rough at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco this week, great shots and historic moments have been met with silence. Golf fans have been forced to watch from home, as coronavirus concerns forced organizers to ban in-person spectators.

But if all goes well over the next few months, spectators will be welcomed back on property in 2021 for next year’s PGA Championship (where, if all goes well for him this weekend, Brooks Koepka could be gunning for his fourth-straight title).

The 2021 PGA Championship will be held at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course in South Carolina, the site of Rory McIlroy’s 2012 PGA Championship victory, the first Wanamaker win of his career.

The tournament will run May 17-23, but if you want to be among the lucky throngs of fans outside the ropes, you need to act fast. Really, really fast.

Register for 2021 PGA Championship tickets

The first step to getting your hands on 2021 PGA tickets is to register for them here on pgachampionship.com. The problem is, the registration window closes Sunday, August 9, at 11:59 p.m. ET. If you fail to register for tickets by then, you’re unfortunately out of luck.

The no-obligation registration is free for all, but it does not guarantee you tickets. Rather, it earns you the right to a purchase window in the future.

From the official site:

“To ensure widespread access to the most in-demand ticket types, 2021 PGA Championship tickets will be sold exclusively through a free, no-obligation, online registration process. Registrants will be assigned a group and purchase window based upon the date registration is received.”

So if you’re dying to watch Brooks, Tiger and Rory in-person next year at Kiawah Island, register for tickets today.
