Brandt Snedeker fires 10-under 60 to vault up leaderboard at RBC Canadian Open

June 7, 2019

Brandt Snedeker shot a blistering 10-under 60 to vault up the RBC Canadian Open leaderboard on Friday at Hamilton Golf & Country Club.

He birdied the last hole of the day to get to 11 under overall and grab the early clubhouse lead through 36 holes with the afternoon wave still teeing off.

Snedeker, who shot 69 on Thursday, started on the back nine and made four birdies to turn in four-under 31. He then made birdie on 2 (his 11th hole) and went eagle-birdie-birdie on the 4th, 5th and 6th. He knocked his approach to inside six feet on the last and rolled it in for his final birdie of the day.

According to the PGA Tour, Snedeker is the only player since 1983 with at least one round of 59, 60 and 61 on the PGA Tour. He shot an 11-under 59 to open the 2018 Wyndham Championship and later won by three, and he also shot 61 in the second round of the 2015 Wyndham. He tied for 43rd.
