If you praised Tiger Woods on social media Saturday, well, you definitely weren’t alone. President Trump joined in on with a tweet of his own during Tiger Woods’ third round performance at the Masters.
The 45th president and avid golfer took to Twitter on Saturday to congratulate the 14-time major winner, who Trump has frequently played golf with.
Great playing by @TigerWoods (at the) @TheMasters. Tomorrow will be a big and exciting day for golf and for sports. Many fantastic players in the hunt. Ratings Gold – Good luck to all!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 13, 2019
Trump is no stranger to congratulating golfers on their performances in majors. Last year, he tweeted his praise for Patrick Reed as he won the green jacket.
As for Tiger, he posted a 5-under 67 during Saturday’s third round to move to 11 under for the event. The four-time Masters champ now finds himself two shots back of the leader, Francesco Molinari, heading into the final 18 holes. Woods, Molinari, and Tony Finau will tee off at 9:20 a.m. ET on Sunday morning, the final grouping of the day at Augusta National.
It’s safe to say that Trump will be joining millions of other golf fans to watch Tiger chase his fifth green jacket on Sunday morning.
