It was a frustrating opening round of the WGC-Mexico Championship for Bryson DeChambeau.
DeChambeau stumbled to a four-over 75, his worst score of the season and a number he hasn’t touched since the third round of the Tour Championship in September. Playing partners Tiger Wood and Abraham Ancer both bested DeChambeau by four, and he’s tied for 58th in the field of 72.
DeChambeau ranked second to last in Stokes Gained: Putting, losing 3.696 strokes to the field on the greens.
The frustration was evident, as one clip from a Sky Sports broadcast caught him slamming his putter on the practice green. He knelt down to fix the damage, but social media had already taken notice of the egregious golf no-no.

DeChambeau had a similar incident just last week at the Genesis Open at Riviera Country Club, when he took a chunk out of a bunker lip after he was unhappy with a shot.

Later Thursday evening, DeChambeau was still on the practice green well after the sun went down working on his game. The 25-year-old has often been spotted working out the kinks post-round.
“The grind never sleeps,” the PGA Tour tweeted along with a video.

DeChambeau’s most memorable post-round range session came at the 2018 British Open at Carnoustie, when Golf Channel cameras caught him melting down with his coaches by his side.
Not sure if this came out last week but last night was first time I saw it.
