The debate stirred during Sunday’s final round of the Farmer’s Insurance Open: Was Tiger Woods, famous for his Sunday Red, not actually wearing red?! His striped number appeared pink from a distance, and it was only up close that it appeared his shirt was indeed red, inter-mixed with white stripes.
Woods, who closed the tournament with a five-under 67, appeared to enjoy the stripey debate, and added some fuel to it by refusing to answer questions directly in his post-round presser. Here was the exchange:
Q: Big debate on TV this morning about whether that’s pink or red or orange.
Tiger Woods: Yeah.
Q. Do you have an answer?
Woods: Yep.
That was it. Notah Begay III sought to put the matter to bed with a tweet that included three Nike golf shirts, including Woods’s Sunday gamer, which he identified as “Gym Red.”
Tiger hasn’t gone away from his traditional “Red Shirt” on Sunday! Today’s shirt is “Gym Red” and also pictured on far left is a blade collar red camo & the middle shirt he wore to win the tour championship. #NikeGolf

In a GOLF poll on Instagram — extremely scientific, we know — 55 percent of respondents dubbed the shirt “pink.” But this is the Internet, which means you, dear reader, get to decide for yourself.
