2019 Solheim Cup: How to watch Friday’s Day 1 action at Gleneagles

September 12, 2019

After several days of practice, hype, and lost clubs (not to mention a little bit of good-natured trash talk), the 2019 Solheim Cup is finally set to begin on Friday. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the action on Day 1.

2019 Solheim Cup: Day 1 preview

The U.S. team has won the last two Solheim Cups, and hold a big advantage over the history of the event, having won 10 of 15 Cups since its debut in 1990. However, their European counterparts will have the benefit of home-field advantage at Gleneagles in Scotland. Four of Team Europe’s five wins have come on European soil.

The American team also features a total of six rookies — which account for half the team — but are led by Captain Juli Inkster, who also piloted the winning U.S. teams in 2015 and 2017.

On Thursday, Inkster and European Captain Catriona Matthew decided the matchups for Friday’s morning session, which consists of four foursomes matches. Here’s the rundown and tee times for Friday foursomes below.
