LAS VEGAS — Pan-fried steamed dumplings with Korean chili sauce. Korean crunchy chicken. Korean crunchy chicken mini sliders. While The CJ Cup may have been moved from South Korea to Las Vegas, fans weren’t left with just hot dogs and chips. Those at The Summit Club feasted on something you don’t see at most U.S. Tour stops: Korean cuisine, from tournament sponsor bibigo.
To help all you foodies at home, we tried everything (!) at the event. (Tough work, we know.)
Here’s what we tasted:
Pan-fried steamed dumplings with Korean chili sauce
These chicken and vegetable dumplings came with broccolini and were tossed in a Korean chili sauce. They’re crispy on the outside and filled with a savory broth on the inside, which definitely brings them to the next level. These dumplings are a great option to enjoy at the turn, after play or even while walking down the fairway. It’s no wonder why they were the most popular menu item at the bibigo concession stand at The CJ Cup. And better yet, they come fully cooked so all you need to do is microwave it when you make them at home. Click below to learn more:
Korean crunchy chicken
Glazed with bibigo’s signature sweet and spicy sauce and a batter that delivers a satisfying crunch in every bite, the Korean crunchy chicken is made with antibiotic-free chicken meat and was served with potato wedges at The Cj Cup. You can’t go wrong here. While I was waiting for my food at the concession stand, many people who ate it the first time were coming back for seconds. Click below to learn more:
Korean crunchy chicken mini-sliders
Glazed with bibigo’s signature soy garlic sauce, the sliders were served with cabbage coleslaw. Wow. The perfect midday snack. Or any time of day!
Rose ddukbokki and Beef Mandu
This item featured rice cakes and sausages tossed in gochujang (chili paste) cream sauce, with beef and vegetable Korean dumplings. Did you know that Mandu is the Korean word for dumplings? bibigo’s Beef Mandu have an extra-chunky filling and delivers an authentic Korean BBQ flavor – a delicious combination of flavor with the creamy sauce. Kimchi fried rice
This colorful dish was served with a Korean BBQ-marinated meat patty and a sunny-side up egg. It was my first time trying Kimchi Fried Rice and it was such a delightful experience. It wasn’t too spicy and the savory kimchi flavor combined with a buttery taste was phenomenal. Click below to learn more:
Slushy sikhe
Originally a sweet rice drink, bibigo turned this into a slushy making it more refreshing and the best way to end a delicious Korean meal.
I also got my hands on bibigo’s newly launched Korean hot sauce. The best part about this hot sauce is that it added so much flavor to any food – I had to take some extra packets to use on other foods that I ate during my stay in Vegas. Click here to learn more about bibigo’s GOTCHU sauce.
