PHOTOS: St. Patrick’s Day Style is all about the green at the Players

March 17, 2019

With the move to March, The Players Championship now coincides with St. Patrick’s Day, and the guys on Tour are taking full advantage of the opportunity to mix a little (or a lot) of green into their wardrobes.

We have the minimalists in Rickie Fowler and Bryson DeChambeau.

Then we have the traditionalists like Sergio Garcia and Justin Thomas.

Sergio’s green pull-over and green hat combo is a classic St. Patrick’s Day move.

As is Justin Thomas’s green pull over and custom green and gold plaid FootJoy golf shoes combo.

Then there are the guys who go all in (and perhaps try a little too hard?) like Rory Sabbatini.

His green and white shamrock patterned pants combined with a similarly patterned hat is definitely the most spirited St. Patrick’s Day look of the day.

And what about everyone’s favorite Northern Irishmen in contention to win the Players?

Rory McIlroy’s shoes say it all.
