The evolution of golf belts has been fun to track over the years. In the mid-2000s we had the Anthony Kims of the world rocking styles adorned with shiny gems and eye-catching buckles. Then, the white belt was all the rage.
Today’s styles are a little more subtle. Tonal wovens, smooth leathers, and needlepoint masterpieces dominate the golf belt scene — they’re much more similar to what you likely see in your office. (Remember those?)
That being said, golfers typically have quite the assortment of belts to match different outfits, shoes and more. Sometimes you want a look that’s more flashy. Other times you might prefer a subtle approach. We’ve rounded up a few different styles for every type of golfer, but all of them fit with today’s trends.
Our picks for best belts
Beltology Basis Belt
This classic blue and white herringbone belt is a preppy and classic staple. We love this light blue version, but Beltology has tons of colors available in similar styles.
A classic needlepoint belt is a country club staple. This design is a tribute to golf’s four major tournaments with motifs of each trophy and the esteemed green jacket that go to the winners of each respective event.
LEN Lifestyle makes elevated belts from all different leathers. This ostrich leg version has a unique texture and matte finish and is a great accessory to wear if you’re trying to subtly flex on your playing partners.
