A handy distance device
Golf Buddy aim V10
$129.99

Confession: I have never owned a distance-measuring device. I’m not into watches or peering through distance-measuring peepholes. I’m generally pretty old-school and either walk off sprinkler-head yardage, or mooch off a playing partner’s laser. But Golf Buddy’s Aim V10 really appeals to me for a lot of reasons. It’s small, lightweight and compact. It’s super simple to use, and I don’t have to physically wear it to glean its benefits. To top it off, it also comes in — gasp! — ROSE GOLD? Consider me sold. — Jessica Marksbury
A comfortable, warm hoodie
Linksoul Waffle Hoodie
$120
View Product
Yep, I’m one of those guys who prefers to play golf in a hoodie when the temperature drops. Judge me if you must, but it’s my go-to when I don’t want to spring for a jacket, which is often these days. The cotton/cashmere blend keeps me plenty warm on a chilly day, and the understated waffle texture punches it up a bit. I see a couple more of these in my future for future fall/winter golf trips. — Jonathan Wall
The perfect pants
Adidas Ultimate365 3 Stripes Tapered
$53.97
View Product
I’m digging these Adidas365 tapered pants. If you’re into the more modern, tailored look but you’re not quite ready to commit to the joggers lifestyle, these are the pants for you! Comfortable, stylin’, sleek, edgy-adjacent. I love them. — Dylan Dethier
A Tiger-like polo
Nike Dry Victory Blade SP20
$40.97

Everyone knows a Tiger fan. But Tiger fans aren’t fans, they’re FANATICS. They eat and sleep Tiger. They dress like Tiger, too. That’s why I’m picking up a Nike Dry Victory Blade SP20 for the biggest Tiger fanatic I know. If you’re buying it for one of your pals, just be prepared to see it plenty during your Sunday rounds together. — Tim Reilly
A go-to rambler
YETI Rambler Elements Collection 36 oz Bottle with Chug Cap
$54.99
View Product
This Yeti Rambler is the perfect present for any golfer, whether they like to bring water, coffee, or (no judgements here) something a bit stronger to the golf course. Even if your loved one doesn’t play golf, the double-wall, vacuum-insulated cup comes in clutch during all sorts of outdoor activities. Maybe this isn’t the flashiest gift, but it’s super practical. — Andrew Tursky
The perfect half-zip
Linksoul ½ Zip Boardwalker Hoodie
$98
View Product
Not only am I playing lots of golf this winter, I actually prefer it to golf in the summer. There’s no risk of heatstroke, and courses everywhere are far less crowded, allowing me to struggle with my game in peace. My key to playing in bad weather is to suit up with plenty of warm layers, and Linksoul’s Boardwalker hooded jacket is on my list this year. Hoodies are my preferred outwear on the course for the comfort and warmth they provide, and the Boardwalker is water and wind resistant to boot. — Kevin Cunningham
A pair of trusty golf shoes
Adidas Tour360 XT
$199.99
View Product
Alright, I’ll admit it: I’m something of a traditionalist when it comes to golf shoes. All these new-fangled spikeless shoes LOOK cool, but I just can’t get myself to separate from the stability and comfort of my old-school spikes. This Christmas, how about a compromise? I won’t have to worry about swinging out of Adidas’ Tour 360 XT shoes, but they’re also cool enough to wear around my golfing buddies. Can you say, win-win? — James Colgan
A do-it-all tool
Birdicorn Divot Tool
It’s a 6-in-1 divot tool that you can use to fix ball marks, open bottles, draw lines on your golf ball and more. Basically, it does everything but drain your putt and drink your beer for you. And at this price, it fits my budget nicely. — Josh Sens
A game-changing club-fitting
True Spec Club-Fitting
We all know someone like me. My driver, woods, irons and putter have all been bought off the shelf, and all are over 10 years old. My friend even jokes that my 5-wood is “early ‘90s tech.” No longer. I’m getting sticks suited to my game. Your someone like me should get that, too. (True Spec and GOLF.com are operated by the same parent company, 8AM Golf.) — Nick Piastowski
An upgrade to your golf clubs
Stix Golf 12-Piece Complete Set
Somewhere between cheap, generic-looking beginner’s sets and spendy name-brand clubs, the recently launched Stix Golf has created its own market: beautiful, minimalist, modern clubs at a good price. Its 12-piece set (driver, 3w, 5w, 4h, 5-SW, putter) sells for $799 but throughout December can be had at 20% off. The Stix clubs are manufactured by an established OEM that makes components for many of the big brands and they feel as good as they look. — Alan Shipnuck
A new shaft to fix your putting woes
True Temper Double Bend .370″ Left-handed Putter Shaft
This is the shaft everybody is talking about, the perfect gift for the yipping right-handed golfer in your life. The idea is to take a two-way putter (any classic Bullseye will do) and put in the goose-necked left-handed putter shaft cited here. (Yes, the insertion will require some retrofitting.) The idea, as an anti-yip fix, is to putt the short ones from the left, with the hands in front of the putter’s face, as a function of the left-handed goose-neck shaft. In other words, the putter now has offset, which it did not before. For longer putts, it can be used right-handed, with onset. Your loved ones will thank you! — Michael Bamberger
The perfect starter set
Callaway Junior XJ Sets
My 8-year-old nephew is just starting to get into the game, so there’s no better gift than a trusty set of clubs he can use for several years as he’s learning to love golf. These from Callaway come in three different sizes depending on height, are easy to hit and increase launch. They’ll help make any junior golfer better, and simply unwrapping a gift like this — a cool set of pristine, shiny clubs with a sweet bag to match — is enough to get any kid excited to hit some golf balls. — Josh Berhow
