Working in the instruction space, I get sent tons of training aids. Some I love, while others … not so much. The ones that I do end up liking are the ones that are simple while also helpful for my swing.
When it comes to simplicity, you won’t find a training aid much easier to use than the Swingzy. This little gadget is a small, L-shaped piece of plastic that can help improve your ball striking in just a few swings.

Setting up the Swingzy is simple. All you have to do is push one end of the L-shaped device into the turf while you position the other arm above your ball. From there, the only goal is making normal swings while avoiding hitting it.
Having this barrier in place can help solve all sorts of swing faults. If you’re topping the ball, you can push the Swingzy farther into the ground to force yourself to swing underneath it. If you’re chunking the ball it can be helpful as well. All you need to do is set up the gate a little farther in front of the ball and make sure you swing underneath post-impact.
