Want more distance? Let your knee be your guide

September 17, 2018

If you watch most Tour pros, they don’t start their swings from a completely static position. They have some sort of trigger or waggle that helps them jump-start the motion.

Many have found that kicking the right knee in toward the target and then returning it to its original address position works perfectly.

Pressing your back knee toward the target and then letting it return to its position at address is an easy way to get your legs and hips in motion.

This rebounding action by the knee sets the legs and hips in motion, allowing you to rotate your hips and shoulders more on the backswing for a bigger coil.

Try this move if you’re not getting the length off the tee you desire, because the more you can turn your hips and shoulders, the farther you’ll hit the ball.
