Yes, fried eggs in a bunker are nasty lies. Your first instinct may be to simply roll the ball out of the depression it made in the sand. Tsk, tsk. Trust me: This one is easier than you think.
Simply use your everyday bunker setup and swing, with the following two adjustments: 1) As you settle into your stance, “shut down” the club by turning it inward so that the toe of the club points more toward the target than the clubface; and 2) emphasize steepness in your downswing and really go after the sand just behind the ball.
Swing hard and don’t fret: These two moves work as if by magic.
