You can now buy Gary Woodland’s Star-Spangled golf shoes from the U.S. Open

June 19, 2019

There are a lot of new Gary Woodland fans in the world thanks to his U.S. Open victory. But one of the biggest hits from the week at Pebble Beach could be found on the champ’s feet: Woodland’s Star-Spangled Puma golf shoes. Now you can get a pair of them yourself, all while supporting a good cause.

On Tuesday, Puma announced the extremely limited release of a patriotic version of the Ignite PWRADAPT golf shoes. Not only are the kicks just like the ones Woodland wore at Pebble, they are all personally signed by the U.S. Open champ. Officially called the Ignite PWRADAPT Patriot Pack golf shoes, the shoes are decked out in a red, white and blue with white stars as found on the American flag.

In honor of Woodland’s final score of 13 under at the U.S. Open, Puma is only making 13 pairs of the shoes available for purchase. The cost is quite high, with each pair going for $1,000. However, there is a very good reason for their lofty price tag.

All proceeds from the new Puma shoes will support a good cause.

According to Puma, 100% of the proceeds will go to the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides scholarships and assistance to the families of fallen and disabled servicemen and women.
