Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but Scottie Scheffler has won again on the PGA Tour. On Sunday, Scheffler tracked down Ben Griffin to win the Procore Championship, his sixth victory of the season.
The win marks No. 13 for Scheffler’s TaylorMade Spider Tour X L-Neck putter that he switched to last year. Just this season, players using a Spider putter have won 14 times on Tour, nine of those coming from Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. The last three events on the PGA Tour have been won by a Spider putter, dating back to Scheffler’s win at the BMW Championship. Tommy Fleetwood won the Tour Championship with a Spider putter as well.
How TaylorMade signed Scottie Scheffler | Fully EquippedBy: Johnny Wunder
Scheffler changes very little in his bag from week to week. The decision between a Srixon ZU85 3-iron and TaylorMade Qi35 7-wood is the only course-dependent club change he makes on a weekly basis. Scheffler went with the 3-iron this week, marking his fourth win with that club this season and two victories with the 7-wood.
