Sung Kang birdied three straight holes on the back nine (Nos. 14-16) to grab a lead he would never relinquish en route to a two-shot win over Matt Every and Scott Piercy at the AT&T Byron Nelson. The first-time PGA Tour winner carried a mixed equipment setup at Trinity Forest consisting of Titleist’s TS Series metalwoods, Vokey SM7 wedges, Scotty Cameorn putter, Pro V1x ball, and Mizuno’s JPX 919 Series irons.
Kang, who shot a second-round 61, picked up a combined 10.3 strokes on the field over 72 holes with his Scotty Cameron Tour Fastback mallet. The putter has adjustable heel-toe sole weights and 30 percent more vibration dampening material connecting the face-sole to the head for better sound and feel at impact.
