The John Deere Classic is a tournament with a history of low scoring, and on Thursday during round one, Hayden Springer helped add to the record books by shooting a 12-under 59 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. Hayden’s 59 is the 14th sub-60 round in PGA Tour history and comes just two weeks after Cameron Young did it at the Travelers.
In looking at the equipment, both Young and Springer recently put the unreleased Titleist GT driver, GT fairway woods into play.
