Miura Golf offers fully assembled clubs direct to consumer through new website

For years, the only way golfers could get their hands on a set of forged Miura Golf clubs was to locate an authorized fitter in their area and schedule a personalized fitting. The equipment manufacturer still believes there’s a significant value in building an optimized set through their detailed fitting process, but they also recognize the importance of opening up access to their clubs to those players who don’t have an authorized Miura fitter nearby.

Launched over Thanksgiving, the company’s new Miuragolf.com website will now offer a direct-to-consumer option that allows anyone to build a fully assembled set of Miura clubs (8 to 10 pieces) online without a fitting appointment. The custom design interface features seven types of forged irons, including the MC-501 Raw, Inner Cavity 601 and MG Collection CB 1008 Raw Black. Miura wedges, putters, hybrids and utility irons are also offered through the program.

“We are committed to introducing more golfers to the pure pleasure of hitting a Miura club,” said Hoyt McGarity, Miura Golf’s president. “With miuragolf.com‘s new e-Commerce capability, it has never been easier for golfers to have such direct access to Miura products.”

For a set of irons, the step-by-step process begins by selecting from three head finishes that can be matched up with 14 different grips and 18 shaft options. Loft, length, lie and tape wraps (underneath the grip) can be customized as well. And for those who want something other than a full set of MC-501 Raw irons, Miura confirmed more options are coming in the near future that will make it possible to build a mixed setup that flows seamlessly from the long to short irons.

“To experience Miura firsthand, we’re thrilled to offer more accessibility to our products,” says Jason Rutkoski, executive vice president of Miura Golf. “As we’ve continued to grow our dealer network and build our brand, we recognized that access to an authorized retailer isn’t always as convenient as we would like it to be for our customers. Now golfers can either visit one of our worldwide dealers or shop directly at miuragolf.com.”

Since Miura launched its direct-to-consumer site, the company has already seen a noticeable increase in sales, which coincides with the redesigned site and renewed interest in new offerings for 2019. Miura’s dealers, specifically, have also noticed an increase in traffic and sales due to the new site that’s seen prospective buyers schedule custom fittings to view the current club line in person.

Miura and GOLF.com are operated by the same holding company, 8AM Golf.
