This year’s U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club was a record-breaking event for a number of reasons. First, the tournament purse of $10 million dollars made it by far the biggest in women’s golf history. secondly the scoring. Australian Minjee Lee broke the 54-hole scoring record on Saturday at 13 under, beating the previous record which had been held since 1999 by Juli Inkster.
On Sunday, Lee capped it off with an even-par 71 to bring home the $1.8 million winner’s prize. Take a look at the gear Lee used all week at Pine Needles.
