Our take: Better players will appreciate the power and consistency of Wilson’s top-tier irons. “Best turf interaction by far,” enthused one tester. “Club never caught during the swing. It’s a neat sensation.” Turns out, that’s by design. Twenty grams of tungsten weighting in the toe of the long and mid irons enhances head stability at impact and lowers the center of gravity for reliably consistent shots. Nickel-chrome plating and a high-end mirror finish completes the premium package.

A new Tri-Brace stabilizer, which provides a structural connection between the topline and central impact mass, results in improved stability, sound and feel, while a forged 8620 carbon steel face (backed by an integrated Impact Mass Area) and cavity-back design offer a winning combination of muscle-back feel and shot-shaping consistency.

The details: Wilson’s new CB irons are an evolution of the much-loved Tour V6 irons played by staffers like Padraig Harrington and Kevin Streelman.
