Hackers, beware: Ping’s Blueprint irons feature premium workability, not forgiveness
No offense to mid- and high-handicappers, but Ping’s Blueprint irons ($230 each) are better player’s sticks, despite
their tempting looks. With the smallest profile in Ping’s iron lineup, consistently catching the center of the face isn’t only suggested, it’s critical.
Each head is forged from 8620 carbon steel and delivers premium workability and trajectory control. In creating the Blueprint, Ping sought feedback from some of the best ballstrikers in the world, including staffers Louis Oosthuizen and Tony Finau.

It’s no surprise, then, that a compact blade length, reduced offset and narrow sole width—all features better players embrace—made it to the final design.
An ounce or two of forgiveness is offered via a machined tungsten toe screw, but make no mistake: The Blueprint screams “Player!”
