Our take: Made for players who want irons that pack distance and forgiveness in a traditional shape, the JPX 921 Hot Metal irons are Mizuno’s answer to whether or not the company is serious about game improvement. As one of our tester’s raved, “The ball explodes off the face, and these irons are a club longer than my current set. That’s extra power is something I definitely need.”

Mizuno JPX921 Hot Metal Irons

Made for players who want irons that pack distance and forgiveness in a traditional shape, the JPX 921 Hot Metal irons are Mizuno’s answer to whether or not the company is serious about game improvement.

The details: The third gen Chromoly material used in these irons means the CORTECH face is thinner and more resilient, boosting ballspeed for greater distance. Also, the cup face construction and variable thickness sole works as a hinge to further increase face flex for even more speed. Tack on Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology and you have a game improvement iron that feels like a forged iron. Also comes in a Pro model that features a more compact shape.

Where to buy it: Click here. Or better yet, get fit for the irons by the experts at our sister company, True Spec Golf.
