Our take: Sometimes simpler is better, and that is one thing that appeals to our clubtesters when they look down at address. Honma’s hybrid line accomplishes lofty goals while also keeping things looking simple. “I like the contrasting colors,” one tester said of the black crown and silver face. “Best looking at address” said another. The SUS630 body has golfers seeing hybrid and feeling the comfort of a mid-iron.

Tour Release products deliver beautifully crafted performance with hand-shaped profiles and tour-level performance. Honma’s master craftsmen combine traditional metalwood profiles with cutting-edge modern technology to create the highest-performing and most beautiful golf clubs in the industry.

The details: In reality, this club incorporates complex technology. That steel, “high-speed” face is made of variable thickness for a strike that sends the ball with maximum efficiency. On the sole is a weight adjustment system that can help alter the launch trajectory and dial up — or down — the desired spin rate. The TR21 line comes in three different loft options: 18°, 21° and 24°.

Where to buy it: Click here. Or better yet, get fit by the experts at our sister company, True Spec Golf.
