Polos
Peter Millar
I’m not much of a fashion guy, but if there’s one thing I know, it’s that a classic stripe or solid color polo is never going out of style. But the true reason I always look for the Peter Millar section is because of the nice roomy fit and the soft and smooth material. It also doesn’t hurt that Peter Millar polos allow me to still think I’m a medium as opposed to large in everything else. —Jack Hirsh

Johnnie-O
Johnnie-O is one of those brands I’ve started to see several of my golf pals gravitate toward — and now I know why. After picking up a couple of their polos this summer, they’ve become my go-to golf shirts: stylish, lightweight and — this is a big one for me — form-holding! Too many polos, especially polo collars, get misshapen after a few washes. But the Johnnie-Os in my closet — I have one Performance Jersey model and another from the Featherweight line — have weathered the test not only of sweaty days on the course but also the beatdowns doled out by washer-and-dryer cycles. I also dig the surfer-dude logo. Something about it puts me at ease. —Alan Bastable

Radmor
I keep reaching for Radmor’s polos — particularly from their Hudson or Union lines. I’m addicted to cotton at this point (fully out on the feel of polyester) and they’re as comfortable any shirt I’ve ever worn. They also have a distinctive style, elegant but approachable, that suits golf in the Pacific Northwest. Bonus points for their location, just a short drive from my house in Seattle. —Dylan Dethier

Nike
It’s probably the Oregon Duck in me, but the Nike Dri-Fit Tour Polo has become my go-to this summer. It’s lightweight, moisture-wicking and incredibly comfortable. They held up well in the Northeast humidity and served me well in the Georgia heat. You can go with the classic colors or branch out into pastels. What’s not to love? —Josh Schrock
Nike Men’s Dri-FIT Golf Polo
Gap
I’m a going-with-what-always-works guy with polos, and Gap polos always do the job for me. Just solid, you know. Always a nice selection of colors. Always fit well. Always play well in various conditions. And you can find ’em in stores in almost every city, along with online — and they’re affordable. I think that checks every box! —Nick Piastowski

Sun Day Red Osprey
As a connoisseur of spikeless shoes, I’ve been very intrigued by Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red’s first foray into the category. These are super comfortable, super stable spikeless shoes that truly are worth wearing off the course, which are tough to find. —Jack Hirsh

PAYNTR X 001 F
With pretty much anything I wear, I pay more attention to function than fashion. I don’t need my golf shoes to be flashy. They’re for walking, not gawking.
The Payntr X 001s I picked up earlier this year have been a dream shoe for me in large part because I barely notice them. I have bony heels and am susceptible to blisters. No problems there. The shoes are soft, comfy and lightweight. They also perform well, with a wide, stable feel and good waterproofing for the damp morning rounds I often play. And then there’s this: the last couple times I’ve hit my local muni, the younger, more fashion-forward guys I’ve been paired with have looked down at my feet and said, “Hey, are those Payntrs?” Seems they have something of a cool factor, too. —Josh Sens

Payntr Golf All Day SC
My favorite golf shoes out there, Payntr has a ton of options that are both country club sleek and muni casual (my words), but all that means for you is they have enough styles so you can dress like a tour pro or wear models that look more like a casual sneaker. Both are comfortable and look sharp. Give Payntr a chance and you won’t go back. —Josh Berhow

Duca del Cosma Licata
Last year, I tested a pair of Duca Del Cosma shoes that I absolutely loved. While planning for this year’s summer trip, I wanted a shoe that looked elevated but was still comfortable, and that was neutral enough to go with just about anything. Duca delivered yet again, with the Licata — a waterproof, stylish yet understated shoe that I wore absolutely everywhere with nary a blister or soreness of any kind. My favorite part? The contrast laces keep the shoes looking clean. A sweet bonus when you’re on the road. —Jessica Marksbury

Adidas Gazelle
My favorite golf shoe characteristic is its ability to function as a lifestyle shoe off the course, and it really doesn’t get any more lifestyley than these awesome Adidas Gazelles. I have two pairs, and wear them everywhere. And as an added bonus: they’re just as comfortable without socks as they are with. —Jessica Marksbury

Pants
Holderness & Bourne McDaniel
My husband is a club pro, so once nice perk is that he gets to see a lot of the latest and greatest gear come in and out of the golf shop. He also wears golf pants to work every day, so he’s quite a connoisseur on this topic. Last year, he became a big fan of Holderness & Bourne’s Parker Pant and ordered a pair in every color. This year, H&B’s newest offering is the McDaniel pant, which features the same super-flattering fit and a stylish taper with plenty of stretch and room in the thighs. The look is tailored and fresh, with the only difference being a more matte fabric finish than the Parker, for a more natural, versatile look. As an added bonus, there’s also no-slip lining in the waistband to help keep your polo tucked in. —Jessica Marksbury

Rhone Commuter Pro Trouser
No disrespect to any of the terrific options above and below (brands I wear regularly!), but I’ve got an ace in the hole here. Rhone has been a favorite athleisure brand of mine for some time now (their workout gear is top-notch), but their new Commuter Pro pants have earned a special spot in my heart. Something I haven’t loved about the shift toward synthetic pants is the material weight. I understand the allure of light, breathable pants, but I generally prefer something with a bit more oomph. The material for the Commuter Pro is thicker and more substantial than the typical Commuter pants, and the three separate styles (slim fit, athletic fit and five-pocket) provide lots of optionality for dressing up or down in non-golf settings. —James Colgan

Lululemon ABC Slim-Fit Trouser Warpstreme
All my previous golf pants have now been replaced by Lululemon’s ABC Slim-Fit Trouser Warpstreme. For those who need bigger waist sizes, this fit is wonderfully slimming, but not tight anywhere on the legs. The Warpstreme fabric is stretchy and breathable, perfect for the summer, but it’s never felt too cold trying to play with these in the winter months. You’ll almost always find a deal on Lulu’s website. These run true to size. —Connor Federico

Flint and Tender 365 5-Pocket
The 365 5-Pocket Pant from Flint and Tender, my go-to pants, can be worn on the golf course. And they can be worn off the golf course. And they can be worn at work. And they can be worn away from work. I also like the color options and the fit. But their flexibility sets them apart. —Nick Piastowski

DU/ER NuStretch High Rise Trouser
DU/ER first got on my radar when a colleague mentioned how much he liked their men’s styles. So when I passed the DU/ER booth at this year’s PGA Show, I was intrigued! After taking home a sample from the ladies’ line, I now see what all the fuss is about. High-rise, flattering fit? Check. Trendy wide leg? Check. Stretchy, yet elegant? Check. Suitable for both work and play? Check, check, check! —Jessica Marksbury

Lululemon ABC Slim-Fit Trouser
I was reluctant to spend the money on Lululemon pants for years, but then I finally did and haven’t looked back. At first I wore them just for work or casually, but I recently started wearing them on the golf course too. Comfortable. Stretchy. And they look professional enough to wear to the nicest clubs. A must-buy. —Josh Berhow

Under Armour UA Drive
Under Armour has severely underrated pants. Because I’ve got little legs (insert the meme) I have to get my pants tailored so I don’t step on them and the employees at the suit shop that I visit thought they were dress pants. The second time I walked in there, two of them were wearing Under Armour golf pants at work. Plus, they are a great combination of stretchy and breathable. They’re the only pants I’ll wear when working Tour events. —Jake Morrow

Most people who use Ping golf bags are so loyal it’s almost like they are a part of a cult. That’s how popular these bags are. Jones Sports Co. Rover Stand
This bag has been my go-to for a while now thanks to it’s lightweight and well-constructed design and unique storage options. I also love the roomy three-way top and strap system. —Jack Hirsh

Sunday Golf Ryder S-Class
I had the chance to test this bag for our weekly “I Tried It” series earlier this year. I loved it right away, starting with the color. This bag comes in six different color options, and I love the matte finish and clean overall look. The dusty pink is really nice — not too bright and flashy, but still eye-catching. There’s also eight pockets, providing ample storage options, including a “Frosty Pocket,” which can hold — and keep cold! — up to four beverages. The bag has a five-way top, which made slipping clubs in and out a breeze, and kept my putter in its place too. A final feature worth a mention: the Velcro glove patch. As someone who is constantly returning to the previous green to retrieve my glove because it’s fallen out of my pocket, I really love utilizing this feature. Now my glove is always visible and accounted for! —Jessica Marksbury

Jones Sports Co. Players Series
Not the first to recommend a Jones bag, but this is a different one. I fell in love with the Players bag in 2020, when we all probably played a good bit of solo golf. This bag doesn’t have a stand — but I would reckon you really don’t need one. It’s light as ever, petite as anything, and still offers plenty of space for anything you’d want. I prefer a minimalist approach, and I’m not sure you’ll find a more minimalist bag that still gives you everything you need. —Sean Zak

Seamus Golf headcover
The last time I played I lost my trusty 3-wood headcover, but I was hardly upset. It was worn and due to be replaced anyway, and now I have an excuse to buy a new one at Seamus Golf, one of my favorite golf-gear sites. Their headcovers are cool and unique and there’s a ton to pick from. Go shop there yourself and you won’t be disappointed. —Josh Berhow

Bushnell A1-Slope
I’ve tried so many different rangefinders over the past year, but this tiny one from Bushnell has been my favorite. The A-1 Slope is no frills, fits very nicely in one hand without being unwieldy and offers slope correction if you want it. You don’t need anything else. —Jack Hirsh

Cobalt Q-6SM Rangefinder
I am a simple man with simple needs which means toggling accidentally from “yards” to “meters” or getting stuck in a state of uncertainty about whether or not slope is on frustrates me when all I really want to know is how far I have to wherever I’m pointing my miraculous distance measuring device. Anyway, I’d never heard of Cobalt but stumbled into one of their rangefinders and it seems like they’ve heard my pleas. Durable. Magnetic! Simple. Winner. —Dylan Dethier

Grooveit Mini G
The Grooveit Mini G Brush is my favorite golf item I’ve put in the bag in years. You see, this brush isn’t your average groove cleaner. It’s small enough so as not be a hassle hanging from your bag, but it’s large enough to get all the grass and grime out of your grooves on the course. Perhaps the best feature of all, though, is the strong magnet that secures the brush to the carabiner. With this magnet holding it in place, you can snatch the brush from your bag and use it without fussing with a wire or chain. And thanks to the strength of the magnet, it easily snaps back into place when you’re putting it back; there’s no need to worry about losing it after use. —Zephyr Melton
