Each week, senior editor Jessica Marksbury showcases three cool products you should consider adding to your golf gear repertoire. This week, we’re checking out the latest shoes from Under Armour, socks that claim to help eliminate foot aches and pains, and a fresh polo from Southern Tide.

Under Armour UA Spieth 3

Under Armour’s UA Spieth 3 is the third iteration of Jordan Spieth’s namesake shoe, and just became available for purchase on Feb. 1.

The biggest story of the Spieth 3 is traction. In fact, Under Armour actually utilized some biomechanics insight on the torque and rotation of the golf swing to help the shoe’s design.

As you can see in both the video and photo above, the shoe’s spikes incorporate vertical and horizontal traction elements, with the aim of increasing your power at impact and to reduce slippage throughout the swing.

I’ve always been a fan of a fresh white golf shoe, and the Spieth 3 offers a balanced mix of sporty accents and overall polish. Available in both white and black for $200; underarmour.com.

Kentwool SensationWool socks

What’s a great shoe without some excellent socks? And vice versa, right?

Kentwool’s SensationWool sock — great pun! — actually features infused, therapeutic fiber for pain relief. So not only is this a super cushy, Merino-wool sock, it also has warming and cooling agents built into the fibers to help relieve your foot-related aches and pains.

The best part? These properties last for up to 30 washes! (Just remember to, you know, wash your socks.) Also, the socks themselves will live on long after the pain relief properties are gone! $24.95; kentwool.com.

Southern Tide Jack polo

This week’s third and final item is the Jack polo by Southern Tide — a brand founded back in 2006 that describes itself as preppy, coastal clothing.

This polo certainly seems to align with those values. It feels like a vacation shirt, doesn’t it? From the bright stripes and color contrast on the collar and sleeve cuffs, you can almost picture yourself seasmlessly heading from the course to the 19th hole for a beverage.

Even better: the polo is soft, stretchy and lightweight, and includes moisture-wicking properties, quick-dry technology and UPF 50 for some additional sun protection. Available in three solid colors and three stripe patterns for $85; southern tide.com.
