Why this pair of golf pants surprised me — in a good way
I was psyched when Dockers came in to sponsor the (spoiler alert) latest episode of our ‘Warming Up‘ series, which drops later this week. At its most basic, Warming Up is an interview show about how pros get ready for their rounds. Every golfer I’ve talked to is different, but they do have one thing in common: it’s vital to feel comfortable, mentally and physically, before you head to the first tee.
This is where the Dockers pants come in. Look good, feel good, play good — there’s a lot of truth to that. And I didn’t know what to expect from my new pair; it’d been a while since my last pair of Dockers, and anytime I’m rolling up alongside some well-trousered pros I’m eager not to get out-pantsed.
It was much to my delight, then, that I slipped on my new pair of Dockers, the Go Airweave Chinos, and found them terrific. Slim fit. Proper structure. Plenty stretchy. And versatile. They’re not golf-only pant, but they sure work for the purpose. They worked in the chill of Seattle, where I wore ’em first, for a nine-hole round of golf. Then I packed the same pair and trekked cross-country to the oppressive heat of Florida, where we filmed this episode. Cool as a cucumber.
How do they do it? I looked it up and they call that “Airweave” fabric, which is moisture-wicking but cool to touch.
In a world of expensive everything — golf pants certainly included — you can get these for a screamin’ deal, too: $88 for a pair or, right now, a preposterous two-for-$79 offer.

They also equipped me in the Go Raglan Polo, if you want to complete the fit. At two shirts for $49 plus two pairs of pants for $79, we’re talking about a full weekend wardrobe for well under $150. Shoutout to Dockers for bringing high-quality golf apparel to the people.
You can see this fit in action (plus a really fun longform interview) on our YouTube page beginning Friday, Dec. 20.
