Obsession of the Week: Zach Johnson’s Hawaiian PXG hat

Zach Johnson's eye-catching PXG hat is our obsession of the week.

Welcome to a new column, Obsession of the Week, where we’re going to highlight one thing that caught our eye in golf over the weekend. Whether it’s Tiger’s shoes, Lexi’s headcover or a limited-edition Masters item, we’ll walk you through what it is and where you can get it. This week, our eyes were literally drawn to Zach Johnson’s super-bright Hawaiian PXG hat.

The Tour continued its annual pit stop in paradise last week at the Sony Open at Oahu’s Waialae Country Club. And in keeping with the aloha vibes, we saw players sporting plenty of Hawaiian-printed items like headcovers, putter covers, shirts and hats.

But nothing caught our eye or held our attention quite like Zach Johnson’s Hawaiian-themed Aloha Day 9Twenty PXG hat.

Johnson’s hat perfectly channeled the luminous colors of Hawaii’s flora and fauna, and made him really stand out on the course as a result.

While Johnson’s hat didn’t necessarily steal the spotlight like Rickie Fowler’s Hawaiian-inspired style at last week’s exciting Sentry Tournament of Champions, it did mark a divergence from Johnson’s more traditional and subdued color palette.

Johnson’s hat actually comes in four different styles, including two hats with a white panel on the front and two options with the floral Hawaiian pattern all the way around. All of the hats proudly feature a stitched PXG logo on the front panel.
